In the beginning of 2010, Gu Changwei’s engaged film “Love for life”, started filming in China with Ziyi on board. The film, adapted from a novel, was about a tragic love story between two AIDS-afflicted lovers in a small village in China. AIDS has always been a real taboo in china. Deeply sensitized after the shooting of “Love for Live”, Ziyi became the ambassador of the Chinese Red Ribbon foundation.

On Sunday, August 8, 2010 Ziyi was named Image Ambassador of the China Red Ribbon Foundation and a summer camp co-organized by CRRF was launched for 100 orphan children infected by AIDS. The children came from “Shangcai county of Henan province and Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, where the Foundation established a project respectively to accommodate and give education to the children”. I have a taste to communicate with AIDS people by myself by co-staring with a AIDS infected boy in the film and now I further understand the importance to respect and help this group of people.
