“She’s Got No Name” New Poster, Stills and More

More and more information is surfacing online about Ziyi’s next film, She’s Got No Name. First of all, the premiere at the 77th Cannes Film Festival is rumored to be on May 24th, one day before the closing ceremony. A gorgeous and mysterious official English poster has also been released.
 

We’ve also uploaded the first official stills of Ziyi in the gallery.

Finally, an official press kit has also appeared online. Even though it may reveal a few spoilers here and there, it includes a lot of details: the main characters, the director’s intentions, the crew and more.

Ziyi and Peter Chan are currently on the cover of the Chinese edition of GQ, officially launching the promotion of She’s Got No Name. The glamourous 1940s inspired photoshoot was just uploaded to the gallery.

Three short films were also released by GQ. The Waiting features Peter Chan and Ziyi conversing about the filming of She’s Got No Name while waiting for the movie to start in a theatre. In The Waiting of an Actress, Ziyi talks about her role, whereas The Waiting of a Director focuses on the work of Peter Chan.

Tod’s Promotion Trip in Venice

From April 18th to April 20th, Ziyi visited Venice to attend promotional events for the Italian luxury brand Tod’s. Her first stop was at the Scuola Grande di San Rocco for a gala dinner.

The next day, she participated in the 60th Art Biennale, attending the Tod’s “The Art Of Craftmanship”.

Cast of “She’s Got No Name” Announced

A new poster for She’s Got No Name was just published on Weibo featuring the official cast members. Notable additions are Mei Ting, Ziyi’s former classmate at the Central Academy of Drama in Beijing, Zhang Yu, director Zhang Jianya and more.

“She’s Got No Name” Presented at Cannes

After weeks of speculation, it’s now confirmed that Ziyi will be at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in May. She’s Got No Name, tentatively called The Murderer, will effectively be screened at the prestigious festival out of competition. Here’s the video of the announcement of the official selection.

The Murderer: End of Filming

After more than 3 months of shooting in Shanghai, Peter Chan has finally wrapped the filming of his latest project, The Murderer. For the occasion, and if you haven’t seen them already, I’ll leave here some pictures of the locations. No set pictures with Ziyi so far, but it’s still worth checking out.

The Murderer Sneak Peak

The filming of Ziyi’s next movie The Murderer is still underway in Shanghai and it should be until sometimes in March, but we have the chance today to watch its very first teaser trailer. The quality is pretty awful, but we’re grateful to whoever filmed it and shared it on Weibo.
