On October 17th, Ziyi went to the 3rd New York Chinese Film Festival to attend the screening of her movie Love for Life, directed by Gu Changwei. 12 Chinese films were screening during the festival from October 18 to October 20, including Echoes of the Rainbow, After This Out Exile and Only Walk. Ziyi posed on the red carpet of the opening ceremony. She was awarded with prize of the most outstanding Asian artist.
Ziyi was at the screening of Love for Life on October 18th and gave a Q&A session after the screening.
Yesterday, Ziyi was in Shanghai to promote the brand Icoll (also known as Guizhou Braun) during a press conference. =
2 news stills and 3 pictures on the set of Dangerous Liaisons were added in the gallery. We also had the chance to see pictures of yesterday when Ziyi was filming a scene for My Lucky Star in the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore.
Ziyi was also featured on several articles of TIFF guest list. It’s very likely that she will walk on the red carpet in Toronto this year!
With the release in China next month, we have the chance to see more of Ziyi in Dangerous Liaisons. 3 new stills were added to the gallery today. I think we’ll get more in the next weeks.
Today, we had very good news concerning the film. Dangerous Liaisons was invited to be the opening film at the Busan International Film Festival (4-13 October, 2012). Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to see Ziyi there. Actually, she never went to this festival. The film was also invited to Hawaii Film Festival (also in October) and others.
New pictures from the set of Sophie’s Revenge 2 aka My Lucky Star were added to the gallery. Ziyi was filming a scene with Wang Leehom in Hong Kong. Hopefully, we’ll see more pictures in the next days.
I’ve also found a new still of Dangerous Liaisons.
Ziyi’s last film Dangerous Liaisons was selected to be screened at Toronto Film Festival in the Gala Presentations in September. After a world premiere at Cannes, the movie will make it’s North American premiere during the festival. Other films in the Gala Presentations include Silver Linings Playbook from David O. Russell, Twice Born from Sergio Castellito and Thermae Romae from Hideki Takeuchi… Other Chinese movie making their world premiere at the festival include The Last Supper from the much acclaimed director Lu Chuan and the last movie from Chen Kaige, Caught in the Web.
Hopefully, Ziyi will go at TIFF this year. It would be her first appearance on the red carpet of the festival since The Banquet in 2006.
